Welcome we're so glad you've found us!
We are a group of people from all walks of life who believe that Jesus Christ is good news for everyone - today and for always. God has done so much for us that we want to thank Him every day, and on Sundays we meet to worship Him and enjoy being a family together.
Pastors John and Sharon Firth
We meet at 'that meeting space', next to the Town Hall in Melksham every Sunday at 10:30am and would love you to join us.
that meeting space, 31a Market Place, Melksham, SN12 6ES
We also have mid-week meet ups and drop ins so that we can encourage and support each other in different ways.
The Good News: this section explores some questions about how God is relevant to real life.
It's only natural to have lots of questions about faith and God. We all do. We've found that knowing Jesus has given us peace and joy even when things are tough. Contact us if you would like to talk or join an online coffee meetup: you can find the details here.

The Good News
What is ‘the Good News’? Whenever you hear people talk about the good news or the Gospel , they are talking about Jesus. Specifically they are referring to the fact that Jesus died for us on the cross so that we might be forgiven and then He was raised to life. This is the greatest act of love ever to have taken place and it is for you!
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him” (John 3:16-18, The Message).
Who is this good news for? Everyone! This is not a one off, this is an every day message to each and every one of us. It is for all of us who believe, that is good news!
While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly. Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to give his life even for an upright man, though perhaps for a noble and lovable and generous benefactor someone might even dare to die. But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us (Romans 5:6-8, Amplified Bible).
How can someone receive Jesus? If you are hearing about Jesus for the first time or have heard before but have decided that now you would like to accept Him as your Lord and Saviour, you can.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-10, New Living Translation).
You can speak to Jesus right now and if you are not sure what to say you could try this prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life*. Please forgive me. I now turn from everything which I know is wrong.
Lord Jesus, thank you for what you did for me on the cross. I thank you that because of it my sins are forgiven and I have been set free. I thank you that you rose from the dead to give me new life now and forever.
I proclaim that you are my Lord and Saviour and I ask that you would come into my heart to live by Your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*take a few moments to ask forgiveness for anything particular that is on your conscience.
If you have prayed this prayer or would like to know more we suggest that you get in touch with a local church and please feel free to contact us
